Mancos, CO (May 1, 2019) – Alpacka Raft, the industry leader in research and development of modern packrafting, today announced the release of their curated collections of watercraft for the backcountry hunter & angler.
In collaboration with Backcountry Hunters & Anglers®, we’re proud to offer the BHA Series — a curated collection of our favorite packrafts for hunting and fishing.
Thor Tingey, Alpacka Raft CEO, – “It’s all about access. Successful hunters and anglers make the extra effort to reach off the beaten path locations. When you are hunting and fishing on public land, that is even more important. Alpacka Rafts open your access options to backcountry float trips, river crossings to access new areas, and the ability to push the limits of how far you can hike in because you have the option of floating out. “
BHA Mule (7-8.3 lbs) The ideal solo hunting & fishing packraft, featuring a stable and easy to paddle 11.7-inch Cargo Hull, capacity to carry out medium sized animal, and backpackable size and weight. Its perfect for sheep or caribou hunts and sneaking into remote rivers for a little fishing and relaxation. Available in Cedar Green in either open or self bailing configurations.
BHA Forager (12.6 – 13.4 lbs) Our largest and burliest packraft, the self bailing Forager delivers two-person seating and massive cargo capacity in a super stable backpackable package. For the backcountry hunter, the Forager will comfortably transport one person and a full moose out of the most remote areas. For the backcountry fisherman, the Forager is the perfect micro drift boat where the rear passenger controls the boat with a kayak paddle and the front person fishes off the bow. Perfect for travel, fly in trips, or getting into small mountain and coastal rivers where larger rafts can’t navigate or portage.
BHA Oryx (10.8 lbs) Our take on the classic open canoe, the BHA Oryx provides all day seating comfort and easy paddling for two. Perfect for fishing lakes and flatwater river systems like the Boundary Waters and the Yukon.
A portion of all sales of the BHA Series will be donated to Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.
